Giveaway #39: March-themed tote bags.

Hi again,

Today is the newsstand date for our March issue, which I'm particularly excited about because it features one of my favourite crafts to date: the "In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb," tote bags.

This article gives you a primer on two easy ways of adding your own designs to a plain canvas tote bag: freezer paper–stenciling, and potato printing. I had a lot of fun with this story and spent a happy day working away on the prototypes.

On Wednesday I'm going to post a series of step-by-step photos in the hopes that you'll give it a try sometime. And this week I'm going to give away the materials needed to make a tote bag of your own!

This week's prize includes: one (large) plain canvas tote bag; fabric paint in copper, black, green and white; a stencil brush; and several sheets of freezer paper. (You'll have to supply your own X-Acto knife and/or potatoes!)

For your chance to win, leave a comment on this post telling me about what image you'd like to carry on a tote bag. A monogram? A silhouette? The possibilities are endless and I'm always looking for ideas.

Entries will be open until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, February 7; I'll post a winner here on Monday, February 8. Good luck!
