Hi again,
Thanks for joining me for the second day of March Break giveaways. (See yesterday's giveaway here.) This contest will continue all week, and I'll announce the winners on Monday, March 8. Feel free to enter every day – and you don't have to have kids. Some of these prizes would also be great for those of us who are kids at heart!
Today's prize: two neat craft books! I would have loved these when I was a kid.
The first book is called "Let's Make More," by Mister Maker, who is apparently a bit of a kid's crafting celebrity on the BBC. (Possibly here, too? I don't get a chance to watch much kids' TV.)
There are all sorts of great ideas for crafts you can make using everyday, round-the-house materials. Suitable for kids ages 5 to 8, this book has some great ideas for crafts to brighten up a rainy weekend or keep that Brownie or Cub troop occupied. Click here to peek inside.
Book number two is a copy of "Made by Me" by Jane Bull. Billed as "a stitch-by-stitch guide to knitting, sewing, and embroidery," this would be the perfect way to start that young person in your life off on a life filled with a love of needlework.
Suitable for kids aged 7 to 9 (and maybe a bit older), this colourful book will likely appeal to little girls, but there's nothing to say that it wouldn't be great for young boys, too. Click here to peek inside.
Enter to win by leaving a comment on this post telling me your earliest crafting memory. You've got until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 7 to enter; I'll post the winner here on Monday, March 8.
