This week, I'm happy to be giving away a copy of The Artful Bird: Feathered Friends to Make and Sew, by Abigail Patner Glassenberg (click through for more info on the book's blog tour, and a giveaway, which starts today).
This is a beautiful book filled with projects that I'd love to try. These birds are so expressive – and with 16 different birds, from a hen+chick to a penguin to a flamingo, there's a project there for just about every "level of challenging" that you might be looking for. You'll find a full chapter on bird-making techniques, step-by-step instructions for each project, lots of great photography, and interviews that Abigail conducted with other bird-making artists – well, you already know that I love books from Interweave, and this is another prime example of their work.
If you're looking for an engrossing project (or several) to help you grind through the rest of this winter, this book is for you. I guarantee it will bring a smile to your face!
For your chance to win, leave ONE comment on this post by 11:59 p.m. on MONDAY, February 21; I'll post a winner here on Tuesday, February 22. Good luck!
