What I did at summer camp: Squam Art Workshops, fall 2011

Hi friends,

I'm back from camp and it was great. I can't believe it's over already.

I finished my made-just-for-Squam sweater just in time (can you tell how happy I was?) and I wore it every day.

It still smells of woodsmoke. It's now my favourite sweater ever.

I did a lot of knitting. I finished the "Toasty" fingerless gloves...

...and then made a cowl and a hat to match. The chilly mornings and evenings were no match for the superwarm, supersoft Berroco Ultra Alpaca.

I learned a new beading technique and made a necklace. I'm looking forward to making more.

I told stories and took pictures and sat in front of a roaring fire. I spent an afternoon out on a dock, knitting and chatting. I shared meals with new friends and old. There were cookies and late-night chats with my cabinmates. We had so much fun.

Then again, with a view like this, it would have been hard not to, don't you think?
