Hi friends,

This is where we round up everything we got up to over the past week. I'm going to keep it short and sweet today, because I think that we should all be outside, not in front of our computer screens. Here goes.

• On Monday, it was all giveaway, all the time: here's last week's winner and this week's contest (open for entries until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday night).
• On Tuesday, I shared a photo (or 12) of my weekend adventure in Tremblant (knitting included!).
• On Wednesday, Lisa revealed that she's all about quick cut-and-paste printable crafts right now.
• On Thursday, Tina fired up the media player to share videos that feature knitting – as in knitted sets, characters – even houses!
• On Friday, I shared a few things I've seen and liked online this week.

We interrupt this Canada Day weekend to bring you our weekly roundup. I hope you enjoyed yourself yesterday, however you celebrated.

Speaking of celebrations, I finished my latest pair of socks earlier this week. This business of sock photo shoots is extremely challenging!

And here's what we were up to this week when we weren't jumping on and off a kitchen stool and fooling with the automatic camera timer.

• On Monday, it was giveaway central again – last week's winner and this week's contest (open for entries until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday night).
• On Tuesday, I gathered up some ideas to help you keep your kids crafting this summer.
• On Wednesday, Lisa shared a tutorial for a cute, quick clutch purse.
• On Thursday, Tina considered the upside of a summer cold.
• On Friday, I shared my list of essential craft supplies for kids (of any age).

And a few nifty things that we noticed online and out and about this week:

• A super cute, super fast striped tote bag project – perfect for carrying your stuff to the beach, I think.
• Love these monogrammed chairs from Design*Sponge. (And the DS book is coming! I'm looking forward to it already.)
• These summer citrus coasters from Purl Bee would be perfect packaged with a pitcher-and-glasses set and a bag of lemons, don't you think?

Well, another weekend. Is it just me, or do they fly by faster now that the warm weather is here? I'm recovering from my week of visitors and fun with some quiet time on the couch – it's Downton Abbey and some knitting for me.

(Although the costumes in this series make me think I should take up couture sewing, my goodness!)

• On Friday, I gave you a peek at my now-finished purple hat, made for Street Knit to celebrate WWKIPD.

• At Instructables, Mikeasaurus is teaching people how to make magnetic Silly Putty. (Be sure to watch the video to see how it oozes when attracted by a magnet. So cool!)
• Teri from Giddy Giddy posted a tutorial on Bloesem Kids on making a ball labyrinth toy from a used CD jewel case and some Fimo.

Hope you're having a great weekend. I've got an exciting week of out-of-town visitors and fun parties coming up, so I'm trying to get a jump on my chores today so I can concentrate on having fun when Monday rolls around.
