UPDATE: ALL WINNERS HAVE BEEN CONTACTED! Keep an eye on your inbox. Thanks to everyone who entered! Canadians are in love with bagels. There’s just something that individual serving of chewy, bready goodness. Is it the hole in the middle? The concentrated carbohydrates? The heavenly combo of bagel and cream cheese? I’ve been gleefully enjoying a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast all week long. Then this morning, I had a serious case of carbohydrate-guilt. Surely my summer clothes will not forgive this brazen foray into calorieland. If you can’t stop eating bagels, there is new hope On March 18th, Canadian breadmaker Dempster’s released a brand new line of Thin Bagels – 100-calorie “thin” versions of the regular bagels we know and love in White with WholeGrains, Multigrain and Cinnamon Raisin. Full disclosure: Dempster’s sent me all three flavours of Thin Bagels to try for free. The verdict? No, they are not the puffy, malty, concentrated bake shop bagels you can chew on for hours. But they do have that satisfying, signature chewiness of a good bagel and come in at just 100 guilt-free calories. $3.79 for a package of 6. Dempster’s also sent me 10 coupons for a free package of Thin Bagels, and I want to share these with you! If you live in Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland & Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia or PEI tell me in the Comments section below WHY YOU LOVE BAGELS (sorry Western Canada, Thin Bagels aren’t available in your stores.
