Words of wisdom for getting a job in the Canadian Living Test Kitchen

As we prepare to replace our superstar food specialist, Amanda Barnier, who is about to go on mat leave for a year, we have been talking about what sort of qualities we look for in a potential CLTK staff member.

There are the technical requirementschef school, experience in a commercial test kitchen, superior cooking skills, excellent palate, super-creative, great team spirit, laughs at my jokes, etc. You know…the usual.

And then there’s this:

Your food-thusiasm should know no bounds.


My favourite is sour cream and onion. Like chips ‘n’ dip…without the dip! And they should be rippled for maximum crunch.
