How to build a great sandwich

This subject may seem pretty obvious, but if you follow these few simple rules, you'll have a great sandwich every single time. - When choosing your ingredients, try to balance flavours and textures. For example, bacon is crunchy and savoury, while avocado is creamy and rich. Pair these two together and you'll have a winner. - Choose a barrier to protect your bread from becoming soggy. Traditionally, this refers to a spread of some kind like butter, mayonnaise, mustard, hummus (you get the picture) and/or a layer of lettuce that has been properly dried. - Stack anything wet in the middle, like sliced tomatoes or pickles. - If you plan on heating up your sandwich and the ingredients include meat and cheese, be sure to  stack them together for optimal flavour and texture. Now go on and make your own sandwich! Need inspiration? Try some of our favourites: Cobb Style Chicken Sandwich Pan-Fried Trout Sandwich Cemita-Style Pork Sandwich
