How to seed a tomato

There are two ways to seed a tomato. If you're dicing it, you'll want to seed it differently than if you're planning to stuff it. I have a Roma (or plum) tomato as an example, but any tomato will work the same way. If you cut it in half crosswise (not through the core) you'll expose all of the little seed pockets, which you can then just spoon out. Seed a tomato for stuffing This is a great way to cut it if you plan on halving and stuffing your tomato. But it makes it a little harder to neatly dice once the tomato is seeded. If dice is what you're after, start by cutting the tomato in half lengthwise, then in half again into quarters. Just slide your knife under the seeds to remove them (like you're filleting a fish) and you're left with a nice long piece of tomato flesh that's supereasy to slice and dice. how to seed and dice a tomato This is the technique you want to use for fresh salsa or a diced tomato garnish.
