Raincoast Trading canned fish: Sustainable fish is good for you and the environment!
I recently heard about Raincoast Trading, a company that has been selling premium wild seafood products since 1978. The company supports sustainable fishing practices to ensure healthy fish stocks for future generations, and they harvest only wild caught seafood. Plus, their canned fish is single-cooked to preserve its natural oils, nutrition and rich flavour and they don’t add water or oil to the fish during the canning process. Seafood Lasagna is my favourite seafood dish. My sister makes it in a white sauce and adds some vermouth to bring it all together, so good!

I have not heard of this brand before. I am sure I will love it as I love lots of canned seafood. Eg Salmon, tuna, sardines and many more. I would love to try it but I don't think they sell it here. I will most certainly be on the lookout for it from now on, I also think their eco principles are fantastic. A lot more companies should do that and I'll bet they would sell a lot more of their product

My favourite seafood dish is very simple. I place shrimp on skewers, marinate in garlic and fresh lemon. Just before they go on the bbq I brush with butter and more fresh lemon is squeezed onto them. I also had a hickory stick into the bbq to give the extra smoked flavour.

Salmon baked on cedar is lovely. Smoked salmon is divine. Canned salmon (bones and all) with a slice of hearty multi-grain bread and a salad with balsamic vinegar and olive oil is a fantastic lunch.

While I love a curried seafood casserole with rice, my favourite everyday lunch is wild red sockeye salmon with whatever greens I have on hand, a balsamic dressing of some sort, often a mix of sliced cucumbers, peppers, and/or tomatoes, and then I throw on whatever else is handy.....a few craisins, a few tamari almonds, perhaps a bit of freshly grated parmesan cheese....the mix depends on what I have on hand. I buy the salmon by the case when it is on sale.

We all are crazy about seafood in our home, but our all-time favourite is chowder, loaded with clams, salmon, and pollack. Mmmm. Oh - and it's the creamy kind we love. I like tomato-based Manhattan chowder as well, but I'm the only one. : )

Our family favourite is the little salmon croquettes I make, they are like little salmon meatballs and everyone loves them.
My personal favourite is the maple smoked salmon a friend of ours makes, I have been known to beg him for more when I run out, it is amazing...

First time to hear this brand & it will be nice to have a taste of it.I ate both canned &
fresh seafood & prepare them as simple as poaching, baking or pan frying with pepper,salt &
spices to have the real taste of it.

My favourite seafood dish is wild alaskan salmon barbequed on a cedar plank. The smell of the cedar's sweet smokiness infuses the tender flesh of the salmon. Served with a squeeze of lemon, this seafood dish is a hit at summer barbecue parties.

I love tuna and lived off it as a student! I'm thrilled to learn about this environmentally conscious product. My favorite seafood dish has to be Stuffed white fish from Wireton where my family has bought fish for years. Yummmmmmm!

I have a soft spot for my mom's warm tuna macaroni salad. She would make it for lunch when we were kids, and my sister and I would eat it while watching the Flintstones. It is especially good in the winter with hot chocolate after a hard morning of playing in the snow!

I love to make a full, full chowder when we have a wake in one of our native communities...usually it has salmon, haddock,shrimp,clamss, scallops along with spuds, maybe some carrot &celery/onion/peppers for colour...this is in a very large quantity and always well received. We do love our fish!

My favourite is a seafood casserole baked in a white sauce.You can use a variety of seafood.I usually use tuna,shrimp,lobster,clams with chopped onions and topped with a crumbled bread and cheese topping.

My favourite dish by far is Zarzuela. A Spanish dish jam packed with tons of different seafood. Similar to Cioppino, but with a pureed almond base. Delicious!

I love all seafood, love them plain, in sauces, casseroles, etc but my very favorite is Bay of Fundy flounder fried in butter. There is nothing to compare to it.

my favorite, crab stuffed shrimp. I take canned crab meat mix with shallots, garlic lemon zest and some bread crumbs , and parmesean cheese, stuff my shrimp, bake them 20 25 minutes..great for an appetizer or a supper dish!

I can't pick ONE favourite seafood dish! My husband and I love seafood! There's the traditional shrimp cocktail, a haddock chowder I got from a Canadian Living magazine years ago, salmon lox with cream cheese, capers, red onion on a bagel, and of course a rainbox trout or salmon fillet.

A tin of drained salmon, some cold mashed potatoes, toss in some grated onion,a grind or two of pepper, a beaten egg and mix together before making into fish cakes and sauteing until hot and golden. Now break out the lemon wedges and enjoy!

I remember my grandma making panfried perch that had been eggwashed & coated with flour/cornmeal. It was served with sourdough bread & cole slaw...always the same, nothing else. Well, EXCEPT beer for the adults. Best fish EVER!!!
