A chance to give back and WIN!

subwayOnce in a while, when my pot of Slow Cooker Vegetable Soup runs dry, I swing by Subway and pick up a 6" veggie sub. It's super-cheap, definitely low-cal and a pretty healthy option when you don't have time to cook at home.

Thanks to Jared and The Biggest Loser, I knew you could get some decent, fast, low-cal eats at Subway. What I didn't know was that Subway has raised more than $1 million dollars in support of Special Olympics Canada since 2005.

This year, Subway hopes to raise more than $300,000 for Special Olympics Canada and you can support this initiative by using the Subway Holiday Cash Card. The card is available at all Canadian Subway locations until December 31, 2009. Every time you load your Cash Card, Subway will donate $1 of all cash card sales to Special Olympics Canada.

And, of course, I have some Subway Holiday Cash Cards to give away. Five lucky winners will each WIN two cards - one to keep and one to give as a gift to someone you care about. Each card is loaded with $10, which goes surprisingly far at Subway.

For a chance to WIN, just Subscribe To This Blog and post a reply telling us about your favourite winter sport - what is it, why do you love it, and how long have you been enjoying it? You have until Tuesday, December 8 to enter. I'll announce the winner here on Wednesday, December 9.

In other news,  have you signed up for our free, six-week online Boot Camp yet? Sign up today and get ready to get fit starting January 4.
