Genetics seem to determine quite a bit about aging, particularly after you turn 80, but before that diet and lifestyle play a key role. And I love this reminder that people can and do challenge themselves physically throughout their entire adult lives. I feel it personally too: I’m about to start training for my first half-marathon, and I am just about as fit as I have been, at 42.
