The Bikini Boot Camp Diaries, Day 11 - Meal planning bliss

I am loving the Bikini Boot Camp Six-Week Menu because I can see all my meals for weeks in advance. It's so easy to make my grocery lists when I'm this organized!

Planning your meals in advance has many benefits:

  • It helps you make a grocery list and stick to it.
  • You can cross-reference your list to what's on special at your local stores to ensure you're getting the best deal.
  • You can identify ingredients that you're going to need a lot of, then save money by buying them in bulk.
  • You’re less likely to come home to an empty cupboard, find yourself without a plan, and end up eating popcorn for dinner.

In addition to the Bikini Boot Camp Menu, I'm also using CanadianLiving.com's new Meal Planner tool — it actually compiles a printable grocery list for you! I'm loving it. You can access the Meal Planner through your MyCL account.

With just a week left to go before the launch of Bikini Boot Camp, CanadianLiving.com has just launched an exciting new tool: the Meal Planner.

Finally! An online tool that will help to ensure that my meals are planned for the week so that I don't end up eating popcorn for dinner or chocolate-covered almonds for breakfast (again). You can access the stomach-saving and super-neat-o  Meal Planner through your MyCL account.

Use it to plan your meals, view meals you've planned already, assign cooking duties(!), invite people to join you for a meal, plus many other handy functions to help you get organized and get cooking.

New & improved Online Food Journal

Have you tried the 'new & improved' Online Food Journal?

Log in to MyCL and check out the new version of the Online Food Journal. As always, you can record your food choices by selecting from a comprehensive list of foods — the calorie content, as well as the fibre, fat and carbs content of your selection will be automatically tracked.

But now you can also type in any food you like and type in its calorie, fibre, fat and carb count. It's a more flexible way to track what you're eating.

And when you pay attention to what you're eating, you're more likely to make healthy choices.
