I mean, it's one of the most eminently giftable items on the market, and makes the perfect prezzie for even the toughest birthday guy/girl on your Contacts list. In fact, chances are, you've got one beside your computer as you read this. (Possibly from me.) What's new for Fall 2014 (and yes, we design journos are already casting our eyes towards the autumn) is the style of the mug. Where that monogram was once in pretty cursive script, it's now in a bold, Warhol-esque, overlapping sans-serif that makes you want to go out and schedule a vision test. In the best possible way. What's more, there's a lovely, complimentary attribute inside each mug that corresponds with the letter for a little self-affirming pick-me-up when you reach the bottom of your cuppa. The "V" mug, for example, reminds you that you're a "visionary." Goodness knows what the "X" mug suggests. A fantastic gift idea, and a great addition to the growing lineup of decorative accessories embracing the typography trend.   Follow me on Twitter!
