The greenest lipstick is no lipstick. But if you're looking for the second-greenest lipstick, PlantLove by Canadian brand Cargo is a good one to choose.
The plastic tube is made from corn and compostable. The box it comes in is biodegradable and studded with wildflower seeds. And the lipstick itself is eco-friendly and free of mineral oil and petroleum. Plus, the company donates $2 from every sale to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
I have this lipstick in a couple of colours, including a bright pink that's perfect for spring, and I have to say it's one of my favourites. I'm just waiting for the weather to warm up a bit more so I can plant the boxes!
