A bag with a conscience

Greetings all!

I would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Daniela Payne and I am the new web editor of CanadianLiving.com. As of today, I will be taking over the Green Living Blog. I hope we can help each other live a greener life.

It finally happened. I looked long and hard and then it just hit me like a ton of bricks. I fell in love ... with a bag. My mission to find a unique and practical bag (without breaking the bank) came to an end when someone told me about Echoes in the Attic.
hipster.jpg Started by two Canadian "mompreneurs", Echoes in the Attic salvages fabrics that are headed for landfills. These crafty ladies make beautiful, one of a kind fashion and home accessories out of textured and colourful fabrics. Everything from pillows to purses are made with the environment in mind and are available for very reasonable prices.

My personal favourite is the hipster bag. It's the perfect size for lugging around my laptop or for running errands on the weekend.
