Book giveaway winner and another green gift idea!

Congratulations to this week's winner of Jill Lambert's A Good Catch. This week's prize goes toTim!

Today's green gift idea

This holiday season, why don't you get your city-living loved ones a box of locally grown goodness? Many vegetables companies and farms offer a service of delivering locally grown and/or organic vegetables right to your door, or a central location in your community. Most delivery services offer the option to have your food box delivered weekly or biweekly, to choose the size of your box and some even allow you to customize your food box, for a fee of course. I even once read about one that has fresh farm eggs which you can add to your delivery! This is a perfect give for the foodies and the eco-conscious folk on your list. You know what? It's would also make a great gift for yourself ... I guarantee that your food will taste much better!

To find a vegetable box delivery service for a specific city, simple google "food box delivery vancouver" (or whatever city you're hunting for).

Please continue to share your green gift ideas ... there have been some great suggestions thus far.

Have a great weekend!
