Okay folks, I promise not to inundate you with products or other things to buy in this travel-focused blog. Sometimes I cringe when I open the travel section of my favourite national newspaper on a Saturday morning (my weekend ritual) and see the pages chockablock with finely-crafted ditties about accessories and gewgaws to "enhance my travelling experience." Pish.
However, I couldn't pass up sharing this one holiday gift idea for the traveller on your list because it supports our beautiful national parks and promotes our country's beloved natural wonders. It's the Parks Canada Discover Pass.
Okay, that's the last holiday gift idea coming from me...I hope.
The passes ($136.50 for an entire family; $67.70 for adults; $33.30 for youths) are good for a year and grant unlimited entry to 167 historic sites, four marine conversation areas and 42 national parks across the country. Not a bad deal at all.
That means you could be spending your next family holiday in...
Cape Breton Highlands National Park
Or even....
Sirmilik National Park of Canada

If you have any questions about terms of use and the other National Parks included in the pass, visit the Parks Canada web site.
