Charming and funny 24-year-old Toronto rapper Drake hosted the show.
Shania Twain was formally inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
Nine-time Juno Award winner Sarah McLachlan performed. And Drake and Justin Beiber sang a delightfully hilarious duet of her hit 'I Will Remember You' via Skype as part of the comedy sketch that opened the show.
Neil Young won awards for Artist of the Year, Adult Alternative Album of the Year and accepted the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award. Young is a co-founder of Farm Aid and also founded the Bridge School to help children with severe disabilities. “You just gotta look inside yourself and the eyes of your friends,” said Young," and you’ll find the secret of how to be a humanitarian.”
