5 Fab Freebies For Kids

[caption id="attachment_5076" align="aligncenter" width="620" caption="Build a Trojan horse bank at a Home Depot workshop."] [/caption] Who doesn't love a good freebie? These five are some of the best around for kids and each have received a thumbs up from my own daughter. 1. Have a little do-it-yourselfer?  Kids ages four to 12 can be registered for the  two-hour toy-building workshops held every second Saturday of the month at Home Depot locations across the country. Check out  homedepot.ca/workshops for dates and times at a location near you. 2. If you have a colour printer, check out the cool printable craft ideas from HP Creative Studio. Kids can use scissors to cut out the projects to create 3-D paper vehicles, animal masks, finger puppets, bookmarks and more. Find them in the toys and games gallery at hp.com. 3. Make a child’s first visit from the tooth fairy even more memorable by presenting him or her with a Smile Certificate from the Canadian Dental Association. Create yours at cda-adc.ca. 4. Download craft ideas, colouring pages and more device-free fun for those days when it is way too cold to play outside at crayola.ca.
5. Sign your budding architect up for a free two-year Lego Club magazine subscription (5 issues each year) at club.lego.com. Each issue is filled with building challenges, comics and puzzles.
