Yes, we all love out pet videos and cute photos of cute critters doing cute things. But did you ever wonder which pets and animals rank highest in search engines online? Recent survey results released by Klooff, the top app for pet photo-sharing, revealed trends in pet-related activity on the Internet, and the numbers are fascinating. According to the data: - Cat photos get 2.3x more shares than dog photos - Small dogs are 61 percent more likely to wear costumes than large dogs - The hedgehog is the most popular exotic pet for 2014 Who knew? The survey results also highlighted the number one dog breeds according to different countries in the world. Can you guess which canine Canadians are most drawn to? No, it's not the Yorkie or the French Bulldog or even the Boxer.

Klooff_Pet Internet Trends 2014 Canadians prefer the Golden Retriever as their number one dog breed of choice.

There's no doubt pet content rules the Internet, and according to Jane Chung, co-founder of Klooff, people enjoy pets content because they're light and fun, which makes them shareable. "People no longer sit down for long hours of TV, they want to scroll through their phones and skim through their choices for aggregated media," she says. So true!
