Easy Thanksgiving craft for kids

IMG_0854 My daughter appears to have inherited the entertaining gene in our family. So when a big family celebration is planned, such as Thanksgiving, she gets busy crafting pretty things for the table. Last year the 14 people attending dinner at my in-laws received an adorable turkey place card. Stay tuned for what she makes this week. What you’ll need: - white 8- by 10-inch paper - red, orange and brown craft paint - paper plates - cotton balls - black marker Step 1: Cut paper into four pieces. Step 2:  Squeeze a small amount of each paint colour onto a paper plate. Step 3: Dip one of the cotton balls in brown paint and press onto paper to make a head and a body imprint. Step 4: Dip fresh cotton balls into red and orange paint and push onto paper beside the body to make the feathers. Let paint dry. Step 5: Use black marker to draw eyes, beak, wattle and legs. Write a greeting.
