The most iconic gifts throughout history

It's almost mid-December and, according to our Holiday Countdown newsletter, it's just over two weeks until Christmas. Have you checked everyone off of your 'nice' list yet? If not, there's still time. But before you go barreling down to the mall, maybe take a look at this awesome infographic from eBay that highlights the most iconic and influential gifts in history, for inspiration. The infographic, which does a historical breakdown of iconic gifts, was published on eBay's website last month, and it dates gifts as far back as 1923. The iconic gift of that year? A Radio Flyer Wagon. In 1938? A Red Ryder BB Gun. You'll see some gifts from early on in the 20th century that are still relevant today. Like the Sock Monkey. There's a yo-yo in there, too, though by today's standards, that's probably a stocking-stuffer. I wonder if I'm dating myself when I tell you that my favourite gift is from 1983. The Cabbage Patch Doll was a beloved treasure, and one that's still so iconic to this day. It's no doubt what this year's treasure under the tree will be. Disney has created Frozen toys, memorabilia and keepsakes for everyone from the little ones to grown adults who enjoyed the movie. Do you remember any of these gifts and toys? Did you receive any of them? Did you give any of these as gifts to loved ones? If you received a Pet Rock (circa 1975) in particular, I'd love to hear from you. Here's the entire list.
