3 inspiring moments from We Day Saskatchewan

Craig Kielburger takes the stage On March 2, 2016, 15,000 youth and educators from across Saskatchewan packed the SaskTel Centre, for We Day Saskatchewan, a day celebrating the positive changes youth are making locally and globally. Here are three of the most inspiring moments from the star-studded event.   Joseph Boyden takes the stage 1. Novelist and short story writer, Joseph Boyden, shared his story of depression and self-harm as a teenager, then again at the height of his career. Boyden spoke about how this battle ultimately taught him how to find strength and confidence in his own skin. Her Excellency Dr. Joyce Banda takes the stage 2. Entrepreneur, activist, politician and philanthropist, Her Excellency Dr. Joyce Banda, spoke about the power of unity and shared her story of her fight for the rights of women and girls in developing communities. Chris Hadfield takes the stage 3. Astronaut, author, professor, musician and first Canadian to walk in space, Chris Hadfield gave a keynote speech, sharing how he brought his dream of becoming an astronaut to life. It took a lot of early mornings and late night studying. He said making a dream happen takes commitment and sacrifice, but is ultimately worth it in the end. Chris also performed his song "Feet Up" for the crowd. Do you know a teen or educator who's making a difference and belongs on the We Day stage? Nominate them for the Canadian Living Me to We Awards.
