Enjoying spring-like weather

Things have been positively balmy in these parts over the past week, and aside from a little bit of rain for the weekend, next week's forecast looks just as great. I'm extra excited about to get my bike out, pump up the tires and start commuting via bicycle rather than boring old public transit. I'm not the biggest fan of cycling for the sake of cycling - I'd much rather explore paths and trails while running. But, I love city cycling from point A to B. I get places so much faster!

Riding around town ...

... on a brand new bike!

This past weekend, I made an exciting – and expensive! –purchase. I went out and bought myself a brand new bike.

My last bike was great. I had bought it used and rode it so so much. But it was a clunky, heavy mountain bike, and I decided it was time to get my hands on something lighter. This wasn't just an impromptu purchase, it was something I'd been thinking of doing for a while now.
