Thing-a-ma-boob

Thing a ma ... what? Thing-a-ma-boob!

It's a brilliant little idea — a key chain that helps you remember to do breast self exams and raises money for breast cancer. The key chain is made of pink beads of different sizes; each one represent the size of lump that can be detected through a variety of breast screening methods.

The smallest beads represent the average size lump found during regular mammograms. And the biggest one is the average size lump found by women checking their own breasts. It's a real eye-opener.

So-o, where can you get one of these funky and functional key chains? You can buy them through the Canadian Cancer Society ... or win one of three that I am giving away.

What do you have to do to win? Write to me!

Tell me what you love best about your body - and why.

I can't wait to read your responses.

I like my legs, I get a lot of compliments when I wear high heels and short skirts.

  2. Jeannine Says:

I love my breasts...because I was fortunate to breastfeed my daughter for three years! I also like my eyes (windows to the soul); I've always received compliments on them.

  3. Andrea B Says:

I like my eyes as well. Seeing as I love cosmetics, it is a lot of fun playing them up!

  4. Katherine Says:

I like my smile, everyone says it lights up my face.

I love my entire being! How can I not? At this time last year, I was completely hairless having just finished chemo and radiation. I had dreaded my body, in particular my breasts, for letting cancer take hold. Renewed, now I marvel at how my body regenerated healthy cells and a new crop of hair on my head. Tamoxifin has forced early menopause, and I'm battling stomach bulge as a result, but I'm alive and whatever shape my body morphs in to, I'm thankful for each day I'm in it. By the way, I found my lump through self exam.

I love my smile and hair..and I am in good health

I love my whole body because it holds and protects my heart. My heart lets me see sunshine on a cloudy day. It reminds me to do something that will make another person's life easier or happier each and every day. Just when I think it can hold no more, it expands and opens up even more. I love dressing up my body to show it off. It's a challenge sometimes, but it's fun. My hips are too big, my waist is too small, my breasts are lop-sided after a run-in with cancer. BUT, I've come out on the other side and I would not change the shape of my body for anything. Everyone I work with and for says that my smile lights up a room. I can live with that.

Hard question! I like my curves. I am basically round, lol, but I feel healthy and appreciate my body as I am getting older. Helping my mother through her breast cancer has really given me perspective of what is important in life, and family. To my Mom...It was tough going but I love ya and I'm glad you are still here!!!

  9. D Says:

One thing I've always been grateful for has been my good skin. Thanks mom!

    I like my Butt!!
Let's face it, every time I purchase a new pair of jeans I check it out.
It acts as a great cushion
It follows me everywhere I go.
It's the last thing people see.

My hubby gives it the odd tap, so he must like it too. :)

My eyes....funny, I didn't like them too much when I was a child but I guess awkward adolescence is finally over (at this age, I sure hope so!). And my breasts & feet. They always look good no matter how much weight I lose or gain! This keychain idea is brilliant!

  12. Christina Says:

I love my eyes and eyelashes! Blue, and long lashes. I get the most compliments on these.

  13. Jodi Says:

    I like my smile!

i like my smile, but I have been thinking about getting implants for some time because I dont have that big of a chest, and I have a low self esteem because of it. I want to get a large B cup, because anything bigger would look bad on my thin frame. What are your opinions?

  15. Jodi Says:

I am posting again as I forgot to tell you why I like my smile. I like my smile the most, as that is what people compliment me on.
