Easy holiday DIY mani—we swear!

With the holidays fast approaching, I'm starting to panic about getting all of my beauty treatments booked. I need a manicure and pedicure, a good 15 minutes with my brow girl, would love a haircut (I may have to coddle these split ends through New Year's) and, in a perfect world, a 90-minute massage from Stillwater Spa in downtown Toronto (if you need a gift for Mom/sister/anyone you want to spoil, no massage can compare). Will all of these happen? Likely not. But there's one I will not leave out, and that's a manicure.

I know how hard it can be to get an appointment (hence the panic) and how pricey it can be, especially when you're attempting to put a significant portion of your paycheque toward gifts, all while making sure the rent's paid and you have something to eat for dinner. And the next day too, ideally. Not to mention the pets you're required to feed too. Trust, you never want to be stuck in a tiny kitchen with two starving, whining pugs at 6 p.m. They are relentless!

I digress.

We wanted to show you how to get a very glam, very holiday inspired manicure on your own. That's right, at home. Now I know this video includes expert Leeanne Colley from Tips Nail Bar, but I promise you, I tried this at home and it really does work. You can do it with chunky glitter too, which we featured on page 53 of our December issue.
