Even though it's the middle of January, this winter I’ve been caught in the rain more often than in snowstorms. And seeing as my current two favourite pairs of boots are velvet and suede, respectively, my footwear choices aren't holding up in all of the rain we’ve recently been getting in Toronto.
I know it’s silly, but one of the main reasons I’ve avoided buying a pair of rain boots is, well, that most rain boots look like rain boots. Not to mention I hate lugging around a pair of shoes to change into once I’m indoors. But in the middle of a torrential downpour during my commute this morning, I decided that it’s finally time to stop being stubborn and to start being practical by investing in a pair of rubber boots.
Here are three stylish alternatives to the typical Hunter boots that you won't want to take off once you make it to the office.

Aigle two-tone rubber boots, shopbop.com, $242.

Loeffler Randall rubber ankle boots, zappos.com, $150.

Riding-inspired rubber and canvas boots, cougarboots.com, $90.
Would you wear any of these boots to keep your feet dry on a wet day?
