When I was the tender age of seven my mom started to teach me the art of scoring deals at our local Winners in Ottawa. Her slogan back then (and now) was "Gotta love a deal," and these are words I still live by. Not only did I hone my bargain-hunting skills, but I also got to spend countless hours of mother-daughter time in the process. It's safe to say that us McEwens have got a whole lotta love for the discount department store.
Twice a year, Winners hosts The Runway, an event which offers luxury and highly coveted labels at 30 to 70 per cent off their original retail price. The best spring fashions from international designers will arrive at select stores on Febuary 23 at 8 a.m. My heart is already fluttering with the anticipation of nabbing a designer deal – I think I may have to come into the office a wee bit late next Thursday.
The high-end spring/summer runway merchandise will hit 13 stores across Canada.
