Day 4: Gorgeous limited edition fragrances

Fact: More fragrance is sold over the holidays than at any other time of year. The real trick is dropping the right hints so you’ll find the perfume that you’ve been coveting under the tree. Which is SO important, because it’s a major disappointment when you end up with a fragrance that you’re just not that into – or, even worse, despise the smell of.

I’ll often end up doubling up on my favourite fragrance over the holidays because the limited edition packaging that some brands offer is simply irresistible. Case in point: Viktor and Rolf’s Flowerbomb. Look at it – it’s like countertop jewelry.

Although the jasmine, orchid and rose juice is housed in an iconic bottle to start with, I adore the addition of the opalescent finish and the soft pink satin-like pleated flower that wraps around the neck of this spray.

Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb, 50 mL, $125, available at Holt Renfrew and The Bay.

Armani Code’s rich orange blossom, sambac jasmine and vanilla fragrance may remain unchanged, but its bottle has stepped up its game just in time for the holidays. Rather than calling it a limited edition, the folks at Armani have aptly titled it their “Couture Edition.” The black matte bottle is set with tiny Swarovski crystals to create a glowing floral design.

Giorgio Armani Armani Code Couture Edition, 100 mL, $120, exclusively at The Bay.

It looks like we’re doing a double giveaway on this one. For your chance to win one of these fragrances leave a comment letting us know what your signature scent is. One week from now we’ll pick two winners at random.

Congrats Fazia on winning the Armani Code Couture and Alaiyo on winning the Viktor & Rolf Flower Bomb. Enjoy
