Generations of youngsters -- especially girls! –- have grown up reading about the antics of Anne of Green Gables, the novel set in P.E.I. and written by its native daughter, Lucy Maud Montgomery, whose pint-sized heroine has attracted visitors to Charlottetown from around the globe for decades.
