Sizes 36 (39, 42)
Rnd 2:
PATT RND 2.

Sizes 45 (48, 51, 54)
Rnd 2:
PATT RND 1.

Adjusting for full bust: Insert bust short rows if desired.

Hip shaping

For a longer body with more ease in the hip (6" [15 cm] extra ease), work this set of increases, beginning just past the waist.
Begin with PATT RND 1 (1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2), work even in established pattern for 14 (15, 14, 14, 14, 13, 13, 14) rounds, ending with PATT RND 2 (1, 2, 2, 1, 2, 2, 1), approximately 8" (20.5 cm) from underarm.

Sizes 33 (39, 42, 48, 51)
Hip shaping: Ch 1, sc in same ch-sp, *[SH in next sc, sc in next ch-sp of sh] 3 (3, 4, 4, 5) times, INC-SH in next sc, sc in next ch-sp of sh, repeat between [ ] 3 (4, 4, 5, 5) times*; repeat from * to *, except omit last sc, instead end with sl st in beg sc, turn.

Sizes 36 (45, 54)
Hip shaping: Ch 3, dc in same sc, *[sc in next ch-sp of sh, SH in next sc] 3 (4, 5) times, sc in next ch-sp of sh, INC-SH in next sc*; repeat from * to *, repeat between [ ] 4 (5, 6) times, repeat from * to * twice, repeat between [ ] 3 (4, 5) times, sc in next ch-sp of sh, 2 dc in same sc as beg, sc in top of beg ch, turn.
Next rnd: Work as PATT RND 2 (1, 2, 2, 1, 2, 2, 1), except over inc-sh work (sc in first ch-sp, SH in next ch-sp, sc in next ch-sp) – 26 (28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40) pattern repeats.
Work even until 30 rounds total from underarm, approximately 15" (38 cm) from underarm, or to desired length. Fasten off.

Sleeves
The sleeves are full-width, elbow length, gently gathered into contrast ribbed bands.

Sizes 33 (36, 39, 42)
Rnd 1: With MC, ch 3, dc in same ch, sk remaining 3 ch of underarm, sc in marked corner ch-sp, work in pattern across armhole, placing sc in next marked corner ch-sp, sk next 3 ch of underarm, 2 dc in same ch as beg, ch 1, sc in top of beg ch, turn – 8 (9, 10, 10) pattern repeats.

Sizes 45 (48, 51, 54)
Rnd 1:
With MC,  ch 1, sc in same ch, sk next 2 ch, SH in next ch, sk remaining 2 ch, sc in marked corner ch-sp, work in pattern across armhole, placing sc in next marked corner ch-sp, sk next 2 ch of underarm, SH in next ch, sk rem 2 ch, sl st in beg sc, turn – 11 (12, 12, 13) pattern repeats.
Work pattern rounds even until 7-7-1/2" (18-19 cm) from underarm, 14 or 15 rounds total, end by working PATT RND 1, turn.

Adjusting sleeve width
I suggest the larger sizes, 48 (51, 54), taper upper arm once, to 11 (11, 12) pattern repeats. 8 (9, 10, 10, 11, 11, 11, 12) pattern repeats. There is no obvious RS or WS until now. All sizes turn, rS now facing, make 5 sc across each pattern repeat, working firmly to gauge of 12 sc = 4" (10 cm), switching to smaller hook if needed to achieve gauge.
Next rnd (RS): Ch 1, sk same sc, [sc in each of next 2 dc, ch-sp, and 2 dc, sk next sc] around, end with sl st in beg sc, fasten off – 40 (45, 50, 50, 55, 55, 55, 60) sc.

Arm band
With CC and smaller hook, RS facing, join with sl st in same sc, ch 6.
Foundation (RS): Sc in second ch from hook, sc in each of 4 remaining ch, sl st in each of next 2 sc of sleeve, turn – 5 sc.
Row 1 (WS): Sk next 2 sl st, sctbl in each of next 5 sc, sl st in each of next 2 sc of sleeve, turn.
Row 2 (RS): Ch 1, sctbl in each of next 5 sc, sl st in each of next 2 sc of sleeve, turn.
Repeat Rows 1-2 around sleeve. Sizes 33 (39, 42, 54) end by sl st in each of last 2 sc of sleeve, repeat Row 1. Sizes 36 (45, 48, 51) omit last sl st of Row 2. All sizes, fasten off, leaving a few inches of tail for seaming. Holding last row together with spare loops of foundation chain, matching stitches, whipstitch together through 5 sts, fasten off.
Make second sleeve and arm band in the same way.
