Making a seashell-framed mirror for your own home is a simple and fun project.
Use a variety of shells you have collected, or purchase matching shells for a more uniform look.
Be certain that the shells are clean and dry. It is a good idea to soak shells in warm water and bleach to remove dirt and odors before you begin the project.
Begin with a piece of mirror in any shape. For this example, we have used a round beveled-edge mirror, purchased at a large retail store for less than twenty dollars.
Arrange clean shells in any pattern you choose. Use quick-dry permanent glue to adhere the shells to the edge of the mirror. Any excess glue on the mirror can be removed later with a razor blade.
Add as many shells as you prefer. This particular mirror is kept simple with a single row of all-white shells. Allow the glue to dry for several hours before hanging the mirror.
