Help your child show their teacher how creative they are by making this special year-end gift for him or her. Your child can make an ordinary white coffee mug into an extraordinary gift that any teacher will cherish. This craft is very easy to make and the result is a beautifully decorated mug full of yummy homemade cookies. Just use your imagination and be creative!
You need:
1 white coffee mug (washed)
1 small paintbrush
Craft paint (pink, yellow, blue and orange)
Cello wrap and ribbon
Homemade cookies
Old newspaper (to cover your work space)
Paper plate
To make:
1. Cover your work space with an old newspaper. Pour a small amount of each paint colour on a paper plate.
2. Paint flowers (or another design of your choice) in each colour all over the mug. Use a different colour in the centre of each flower.
3. Fill in the space around the flowers with dots of all different sizes and colours. Also, get your child to sign her name on the bottom of the mug.
4. Once your mug is completely dry, fill it with homemade cookies and wrap in cello wrap.
5. Complete your gift by sealing cello wrap closed with ribbon tied in a bow.
