Knit an Audrey Hepburn doll: The outfit
Outfit
Dress

Using templates, cut out front and back (2 x A1) and waistband (A2) from black felt. Leave 1/4 in (0.5 cm) seam throughout.
Pin and sew shoulders together. Pin and sew sides together. Turn RS out.
Pin and stitch waistband to front only.
Sew snap fastener onto back of waistband. Cut slit along front as shown in photo.

Gloves
Using US 3 (3.25 mm) needles and yarn A, cast on 8 sts.
Row 1: Knit to end.
Row 2: Purl to end.
Row 3: K1, inc 1, knit to last 2 sts, inc 1, k1. (10 sts).
Row 4: Purl to end.
Row 5: As row 3. (12 sts)
Row 6: Purl to end.
Work in St st for a further 10 rows or required length.
Bind off.

Tiara
Thread approx 20 beads onto craft wire.
Using US 6 (4 mm) needles, cast on 40 sts.
Bind off as follows: K2, bring first st on right-hand needle up, over and off needle, *bring bead up and knit next st, bring first st on right-hand needle up, over and off needle, k1, rep from * to end.
Break off wire, leaving approx 4 ins (10 cm) at end.
Twist approx 4 peaks into wire, using photo as reference.
Place around bun with peaks to the front, tie ends of yarn together, and trim wire as needed.

Necklace
Make as tiara. Break off wire, leaving approx 10 cm at end. Wrap around neck and tie ends together at back; trim wire as needed.
