Baby ladybug costume

What you need:

• red fleece, 7/8 yd. of 60" wide (0.80m of 150cm wide)
• black fleece, 5/8 yd. of 60" wide (0.60m of 150cm wide)
• stiff, flexible wire for antennas
• wire cutters
• small amount of fiberfill
• needle and thread
• hot glue gun and glue sticks

CAPE
Cut a large circle from red fleece. Cut out a neck opening. Cut stripes and dots from black fleece and hotglue to the cape.

BALACLAVA HELMET
Hotglue center front and center back seams. Make two large pompoms. For each pompom, using a long needle and strong thread, baste all around the circular edge, pull to create a pouch, and stuff with fiberfill. Pull the thread tightly and sew the pompom closed. Cut a piece of wire for antennas, cover with a strip of black fleece and hotglue ends to pompoms. Bend the center U-shaped. Hotglue the forehead patches to the helmet, with black one under, red one on top and with antennas in between. Cut black dots from fleece and hotglue them on the red patch as shown.
