Countdown to Christmas

By Deri Robins and Maggie Downer authors of Christmas Fun (Kingfisher 1995)

Your kids will love opening this 3D advent calendar.

There are lots of different ways to count down to Christmas - one of the most fun is the Advent calendar, which has little doors to open each of the days between December 1 and Christmas Eve.

Here's a holiday calendar with a difference - it has three sides, looks like a tree, and it has a special treat in store every day. Why not make one as a surprise for your family and friends this Christmas?

You will need:
Thin cardboard
24 tiny treats (candies, small toys, costume jewelry, pencil sharpeners, erasers)
Cellophane tape
Paints
Needle and thread
