Halloween goody bags

By Jo Calvert

If you're hosting a Halloween party this year, consider crafting these easy-to-make and spooky Halloween goody bags as a party favour.
How to make Halloween goody bags

Hand out Halloween party favours to your departing guests in these easy, decorated goody bags.

Purchase small clear or printed cellophane bags (available at some party supply and bulk food stores), then measure their height and width.

For each bag, cut a piece of tissue paper [bag width x 3] x [bag height + 5 cm/2 in]. Perpendicular to top and bottom edges, fold the tissue into thirds, then fold up to create a "pocket."

Slip the folded tissue inside the bag, then slip the candies inside the folded tissue. Tie the top of the bag closed with raffia or thin cord or ribbon, tucking faux berries, leaves or flowers into the bow. Display the favours on a tray or in a basket or bowl just inside the front door.

For another decorative Halloween craft, make some "menacing critters" out of Hubbard squash: Shifty-Eyed Snouts
