Holiday garland

Bring the scent of the season into your home with this nature-inspired decoration.

Deck your staircase with this special garland craft from Andrika Lawren and Emmanuel Belliveau, hosts of HGTV show My Parents' House Creating your own garland to hang on banisters on a staircase is a lovely way to bring the holidays into your home.

Materials:
• Natural seasonal greens (which can be purchased from greenhouses during holiday months)
• Cedar or pine boughs
• Magnolia
• Berries
• Ribbon

Use natural seasonal greens in your garland. Tie cedar or pine boughs in the garland to help bring the aroma of the holidays into your home. Next, tie magnolia and berries into the garland for colour and depth. Use a tussled ribbon with frayed edges to bind the greens together for an authentic homemade look.
