Hurricane Candle Centrepiece

By Dorotea Kemenczy

Soft, flickering candlelight warms the holiday home like nothing else.

Create a centrepiece your children will love. Even in the flickering candlelight, Frosty and his friends won't melt.

To make:
Fill a plastic bag with approx 750 mL (3 cups) sand and set inside 20.5 cm
(8-in) diameter basket, pail or crock. On top, centre pillar candle inside hurricane chimney; surround with small pinecones. Push 3 to 5 sturdy twigs into basket around chimney; glue snowmen (see Tree Charms) onto twigs as desired.

Keep twigs and ornaments clear of chimney opening and never leave burning candle unattended.
