
Making a pressed flower light catcher
What you will need:
• Flowers and foliage
• Microfleur Microwave Flower Press (available at www.elizabeths-flowers.com and www.leevalley.com), or traditional flower press or phone book*
• Sheets of white printer paper
• Scissors or floral snips
• Tweezers
• Small utility knife
• Clear-drying craft glue
• Plexi-glass sheets, 8" x 10" x 1/8" thick (available in a variety of sizes at home improvement centres)
• Plexi-glass cutter (available at home improvement centres)
• Metal ruler
• Ribbon tape with adhesive backing 1/2" wide (Available at craft stores)
• Drill and drill bit (To make holes in plexi-glass for ribbon hangers)
• Binder clips
• 1/4" double-faced satin or grosgrain ribbon for hanger
*You can also press flowers between cardboard layers of a traditional flower press (available at craft stores) or lay them between the pages of a heavy book, such as a phone book, then leave them for about 10 to 14 days to dry completely.
