Fleece lap throw

By Anna Hobbs

Curl up under this fleece throw and you'll forget it's winter.

Tuck chilly toes into the “tootsie pocket” built into the bottom edge of this throw.

From 2 m of 150 cm wide double-sided synthetic fleece, trim off selvages. With right side up, serge or machine-zigzag 1 long edge. With wrong sides together, fold 46 cm (18-1/8 in) under along serged edge to form pocket; pin. Cut curve at each corner of throw. With right side up, serge or machine-zigzag around edge, stitching through both layers at pocket side edges. If desired, topstitch line down centre of pocket, parallel to side edges, to divide into smaller pockets – 1 for each foot.
