Fleecy gifts you make in minutes

Give the people on your gift list a warm fuzzy this holiday season with easy-to-make fleece wear.

By Anna Hobbs

Not only is fleece the cosiest fabric around, it's inexpensive and easy to sew. Give any of these projects to as gifts and the recipient will be kept warm all winter!

Working with Fleece

• Use very sharp scissors to cut fleece. For a neat edge, cut 1 layer at a time.

• Fleece doesn't fray, so there's no need to finish edges. If you wish to do so, simply turn edges up or under and topstitch, or use texturized nylon thread and a wide, closely spaced stitch to serge.

• Use all-purpose polyester thread and a size 12/80 universal needle. Fleece dulls needles quickly, so keep replacements handy.
