> FOOD TIP: April 20 - 24, 2009:

The secret ingredient to amazingly rich and flavourful spaghetti sauce:

Want your spaghetti sauce to stick to your pasta AND taste amazingly rich? Add high quality protein to your tomato and meat sauce for very little money. Simply add a very finely chopped chicken liver or two to the ground beef when browning it. You will produce a richer meat sauce with a deeper flavour. Even only one chicken liver, which is a very small amount, will improve your sauce. A frugal chef always co-ordinates menu planning to make use of the single chicken liver you find tucked inside a roasting chicken bought for another meal.
