How to ice a cake with a perfect, professional-looking finish:
My best tip for icing the perfect cake is: Coat the cake twice with icing. The first layer will get rid of those loose crumbs. The second layer to give your cake that perfect, professional look.
- This week's tip is by Tracy Brown from Coaldale, Alberta.
Editor's note: Professional cake makers call the first crumb-sealing layer of icing a mask. After masking your cake, let it set for about 30 minutes in the refrigerator before applying the next layer of icing.
