How to get your family to eat salad every night of the week:
We have salads as part of our suppers at least 4 times a week. To keep salads from becoming boring, I buy a number of different ingredients. From feta cheese, bacon crumbs, pine nuts, pumpkin seeds, slivered almounds, dried cranberries, raisins, and any other crunchy or flavourful food I see that will make a salad interesting. When I buy these products I put about 1/2 cup in a container and put in my fridge. I freeze the rest to keep the poducts fresh.
When it's salad making time, each salad is as different as you want to make it. Also, instead of adding tomotoes, I will add either canned or fresh sliced fruit. Makes a refreshing change. Enjoy.
