> FOOD TIP: May 4 - 8, 2009:

The secret to baked cakes that smell like magic:

Every time I bake a cake from scratch, or even a 'ready made' cake from a box, I add 2 teaspoons of Custard Powder. The vanilla scent of Custard Powder gives the cake a sweet aroma and the taste is magical. The starch in the Custard Powder makes my cakes come out firm with no crumbs left in the baking pan to clean out. It works every time.

- This week's tip is by Sawssan Matar from Mississauga, Ontario.
