The secret ingredient for smoky-tasting barbecue sauce:

When making a homemade, ketchup-based barbecue sauce, add a 1/4-cup of brewed coffee to get that smoky taste in your barbecue sauce. It goes so well with barbecued foods, or even oven-baked barbecue ribs.
