Thatched Gingerbread House ingredients

• 1-1/2 cups (375 mL) shortening
• 1-1/2 cups (375 mL) granulated sugar
• 3 eggs
• 1 cup (250 mL) fancy molasses
• 3/4 cup (175 mL) blackstrap molasses
• 8-1/4 cups (2.05 L) all-purpose flour
• 1 tbsp (15 mL) ground ginger
• 1-1/2 tsp (7 mL) baking soda
• 1-1/2 tsp (7 mL) each salt, ground cloves and cinnamon
• 9 shredded wheat
• 1-1/2 lb (750 g) assorted candies
Royal Icing:
• 12 cups (3 L) icing sugar
• 1-1/2 tsp (7 mL) cream of tartar
• 9 egg whites
