Brie Mini-Fondues

Ingredients

    8 oz (225 g) Canadian Brie Double Creme cheese
    1/3 cup (80 mL) flour
    4 egg whites
    1 cup (250 mL) Italian or regular bread crumbs
    A deep fryer or a saucepan containing boiling oil

Preparation

Remove rind from cheese and cut it in small 1/2 in (1 cm) cubes. Roll cubes in flour, then in egg white, then in bread crumbs. Place in freezer for 30 minutes before frying.

Deep fry for about 1 minute and place on absorbent paper.

Serve hot, as appetizers or entrees, on a bed of lettuce leaves.

Makes 4 servings.
